In an effort to expose students to the world of communication and information technology, 35 students attending the free coaching class of AKM were taken on an exposure trip to the Institute of Communication and Information Technology (ICIT), Mokokchung today.


The free coaching class is an initiative of the Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) exclusively for unsuccessful NBSE/HSLC Exams 2019. The visiting students were shown the ICIT Library which has more than ten thousand books, the computer laboratories and other facilities of the institute.


Principal of ICIT Mokokchung, Er David Tsela welcomed the visiting students while teaching staff Er Yibenthung Tungoe highlighted the history of ICIT Mokokchung, courses offered and other aspects of the institute to the visiting students through a PowerPoint presentation.


Located about 12 kms from Mokokchung town along the NU Lumami road, ICIT Mokokchung was established 2003, is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and is under the State Council for Technical Education, Nagaland. Presently, ICIT Mokokchung offers 3 years diploma courses in Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, and Computer Engineering. The visiting students were guided by AKM officials led by their president Imkongwati.
