Dimapur, October 24 (MExN): Fair Price Shop owners in Nagaland have formed an apex body called ‘All Nagaland Fair Price Shop Association’. The body was formed at a joint consultative meeting called by the All Fair Price Shop Union Nagaland on October 24 in Dimapur, which was attended by representatives from Mokokchung, Wokha, Zunheboto, Mon, and Dimapur.
The meeting was hosted by Dimapur unit to discuss pertinent issues such as formation of one apex organization, smooth co-ordination and functioning of the union, and other issues confronting the union, according to a press release. The apex body was formed after prolonged deliberation for better co-ordination among the entire District Fair Price Shop dealers in Nagaland who act as middle persons between the Government and beneficiaries dealing in essential commodities under Food & Civil Supplies Department, Nagaland, the release added.
Hotoshe Sumi and Meijiang were selected to lead the association as President and General Secretary respectively with Wangkam Konyak as Vice President, Hotoi Sumi as Joint Secretary, Vepranulu Nyekha as Finance Secretary, and Ezabemo Yanthan as Secretary Information & Publicity. Meanwhile, the house appealed to all respective districts Fair Price Shop Unions to nominate one person each as representative to the association who will be the executive member.
