Winners of the open badminton tournament organized by the Alumni Association in collaboration with Badminton Club SJC (A), Jakhama on May 4.
KOHIMA, MAY 4 (MExN): An open badminton tournament was organized by Alumni Association in collaboration with Badminton Club SJC (A), Jakhama at the College Indoor Stadium on May 4.
After a prayer, Fr Dr S Obed Yimchunger, Vice Principal, Students’ Affairs, SJC (A), Jakhama gave a welcome address and inaugurated the tournament open. The tournament was held in the following categories- 30+ Mens Double, 18+Mens Double and Mixed Double, a press release stated.
In the 30+ Men’s Double, Fr Dr Peter Solo & Thepfuvizo Vizo were the winners and the runner-up were Yhunsinlo Tep & Modosou Krocha. In the Men’s Double, Kelesetuo Vitsu &Toka Chishi emerged as the winners and Dakhru Dukru & Kenizelie Sakhrie as the runner-up. Toka Chishi & Neivikono Seyietsu emerged as the winner in the Mixed Double and the runner-up were Wepretso &Alemjungla Ao.
It may be mentioned that the Alumni Association of the college sponsored the cash and certificates for the winners of the various categories. Registration were free for all the categories.
