Kiphire, November 8 (MExN): The Amahator Area GBs’ Association has appealed for cancellation of transfer order of Dr. Chukhusie Nyumi, Medical Officer, Primary Health Centre (PHC) Amahator.
In a letter to the Principal Director of Health & Family Welfare, the GBs Association stated that the Medical Officer has been transferred without a reliever as per order NS.HFW(A)/T&P-10/10/2012, under SI. No. 9. Dated Kohima the 31st October, 2017.
It mentioned that PHC Amahator covers 12 villages and 1 township, and therefore “transferring the Medical Officer without reliever amounts to humiliation and insult to the Amahator Area.”
Stating that “the area public feels betrayed by directly neglecting the right to live,” the Amahator area GBs appealed to the department authority to cancel the transfer order.
Failing to do so, the Association in the letter appended by President Y. Yangsekyu Sangtam warned that it will not release the present MO till his reliever joins the PHC Amahator.
