Recently news received from across the borders that the Americans (U.S.A) has picked up a handsome spectator/onlooker who does not know much about games and sports to be the captain of their football team in the world football championship tournament. It is a surprise and unprecedented.
Many educated people say that we are living in a global village. And with the advancement of technological knowledge what is happening in Europe is impacting in Africa and what is happening in America is affecting Asia. As of now we are living in uni-polar world headed by U.S.A. China, Russia and India are trying hard to make multi-polar world, and they are rapidly growing in every spheres. That’s encouraging.
As a responsible citizen it may not be wrong to say something which seems to affect the nations and the peoples world around. Firstly, as for Donald Trump, the President-elect of U.S.A is physically and mentally alright. He is in a high social and economic position as a successful businessman. But it is true that he has no political and administrative experiences. Not to talk of President, but he had not been even as a senator or a Governor of American state in which American politicians acquire political and administrative knowledge and experiences. He may have many plans and thinking, high and low, but thinking and doing are different. The president of U.S.A means the president of the world. Therefore, i think every sensitive person has concerns for the U.S.A President.
It is very interesting to watch the election process of U.S.A closely through T.V and news papers. As the world is on the verge of conflagration and devastation by wars, insurgencies and famines, I though the American presidential candidates should spell out the burning International and National issues and their campaigns would focus on such issues. But unfortunately, President-elect Donald Trump’s main focus was on personal and family issues/matters of Secretary Hillary Clinton. Throughout his campaigns, as i understood he raised the commissions and omissions of Hillary Clinton, the democratic candidate, true or false we don’t know. Instead of fighting party Vs party he always attacked Hilary Clinton personally. He (Donald Trump) charged and intimidated Hillary Clinton that he would appoint a special prosecutor to try Clinton and send her to jail, if he was elected President. Some important issues raised by Donald Trump were all reactionary and harsh measures. The Americans are regarded as the most advanced people of the world. But if they behave and practise like that, then what others will learn from them?
In the second place, Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton got very little chance to raise international and national issues. Instead she was desperately trying to douse the flames/fire set against her by the Republican Donald Trump. It is true she has vast political and administrative and diplomatic experiences as she was once first lady of U.S.A, as a senator and as secretary of state. But according to my observations, 68 years is too much for a woman. For Donald Trumps as a male in good health 70 years is ok. He will, if he lives, live strong even up to 75/76 years. But for Hillary Clinton, as had been told her by Trump, her stamina and energy could not cope with the stress and hardships of torturous campaigns.
In the election campaign Clinton asserted that she would be president of all races in U.S.A. but Trump had strong reservations about the colored peoples. Clinton was supported by majority of the colored people and less support by the whites and the Christians. Most of the white Americans and educated Americans supported Donald Trump. Is this tendency not emanated from the minds of racisms?? Whatever may be the justifications, the racism is deeply rooted in the minds of the white Americans. The white Americans preach Christianity, brotherhood and inclusiveness, but in their minds they have racial prejudice.
Before and during the election campaign Trump asserted to take up many harsh measures. But when he was elected the President, he has come to the reality, and when he himself faces the realities, he is softening his stand day by day. It is a good sign, but how much?? It is to be taken for granted that Trump will have a host of best advisors. In that case Trump will be either a hen-picked of others or passive and if he does not take heed to the advises, he will automatically become an autocrat. The people of the world see him to have some inclinations towards the Russian President Vladimir Putin. The world knows what Vladimir Putin and Syrian President Bashar Al Asad are doing. If Donald Trump ties up with them, the unwanted world atmosphere may be created. Anyway, let us hope for the best.
