Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Manipur on March 15 and address a public rally in Imphal. Official reports said that the Union Home minister will review the security situation of Manipur during his visit to the state.
Meanwhile, several government departments have started making arrangements to highlight their respective achievements during the visit.
The report also said that the BJP-led state government of Manipur is planning to showcase its achievements during the last three years through the performances of these various departments.
Meanwhile, Manipur Water Resources minister Letpao Haokip on Wednesday chaired a meeting at the Conference Hall of Secretariat (South Block) in Imphal to discuss about the arrangements to be taken by the department during the visit of the Union Home Minister.
Jacintha Lazarus (IAS), Secretary of the department; Chief Engineer Songput N Albert and many top-level engineers of the department’s various divisions took part in the inter-departmental meeting, the report said.
Minister Letpao advised the officials and engineers to prepare tableaux and miniature models of the various dams and multi-purpose projects taken up under the Water Resource department for better and effective highlighting of its performance, the report added.
