Dimapur, August 23 (MExN): T Amongla Aier is the first India Police Service (IPS) officer among Naga women. Amongla Aier is a daughter of I Toshitsungba Aier, himself an IPS. Sources informed that she is currently undergoing officers’ training at Hyderabad. The first Naga woman IPS officer was inducted to the post through the recent UPSC 2006 examinations. Meanwhile the Sungratsu Gazetted Officers’ Forum has congratulated Amongla Aier on her achievement and wished her all success. The forum through its Secretary S Taka Aier also felicitated I Toshitsungba Aier, IPS on being conferred IPS cadre.
