
Dimapur, February 10 (MExN): A meeting was convened at the conference hall of the Tourist Lodge at Dimapur on February 10 to discuss the GIS-based AMRUT Master Plan of the Greater Dimapur Planning Area. In this programme, Chenithung Lotha, Director, of Urban Development said, Nagaland has undertaken the preparation of a GIS-based master plan for Dimapur and Kohima under the AMRUT Scheme.
“The Master plan is expected to give improvement to the development and economic growth of the cities,” stated a DIPR report. The UDD, Nagaland has given this assignment to Remote Sensing Instruments (RSI, Hyderabad) and noted that GIS-based Master Plan of Dimapur has been prepared for the prospective year of 2041. A presentation was made by the Remote Sensing Instruments (RSI) Hyderabad at the meeting.
