Amway strengthens product portfolio in Nagaland

Kohima, May 23 (MExN): Amway India Enterprises Pvt Ltd, India’s largest direct selling FMCG Company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Amway Corporation, USA, has strengthened its health and beauty product portfolio in Nagaland.

Amway India has launched its Nutrilite Women’s Healthy range of nutraceuticals and supplements. Amway also launched the super-premium “Intensive Skincare Renewing Peel under Artistry- the global super premium brand of skincare and cosmetics from Amway in Kohima today. The Health & Beauty categories together contribute more than 60% Amway India revenues.

Announcing the launch of the products in Kohima at Hotel Japfu, Diptarag Bhattacharjee, Vice President (East), Amway India said, “The launch of Nutrilite Women’s Healthy Range of supplements and Artistry Intensive Skincare Renewing Peel is in line with Amway’s focus on internal and external beauty and wellness products for women. We have dedicated and positioned the year 2013 as the year of wellness and beauty for Amway woman. The new products are the first range dedicated to the discerning women consumers in Nagaland in 2013.

Briefing media persons, Bhattacharjee expressed his desire for serious and further expansion of Amway business in Nagaland observing that the potential of Nagaland was more than 9 crore, and added that people of Nagaland has interest in quality products. 

In the year 2012, Amway India clocked a turnover of Rs 2288 crores, registering an over 7% growth over the last financial, ratcheting over 20% CAGR in the 5 year period of 2008-2012.

Speaking on the company’s performance in Northeast, he said, “Amway India has registered a growth of over 7% growth in Northeast and across India in 2012. This growth rate is at par with the consumer products industry growth in India inspite of a slowdown in the sector.”

While announcing the launch of new Artistry Intensive Skincare Renewing Peel in Kohima today, Bhattacharjee said, “We have developed the Artistry Intensive Skincare Renewing Peel backed by several years of advanced molecular and clinical research of leading dermatologists and scientists so as to deliver high end anti-aging benefits similar or more professional treatments but in the convenience of own home. We have designed the product keeping in mind of the needs of the urban skincare conscious women.”

Speaking on the Nutrilite Women’s Range of Nutritional Supplement, He further added, “A woman undergoes a number of changes throughout her life span. At Nutrilite we have developed these products under to meet specific health needs of women and provide targeted nutrition to support overall health and well-being”.
