We, the Suruhuto Range Students’ Union and the 33 A/C Area units NPF on beha1 of the entire public of Suruhuto Area would like to appeal to your benevolent authority to take necessary action to restore Power Supply which had been cut off since the first week of October. The Transformer (7.5 KV) stationed at Asukhomi Village which supplies power to entire Suruhuto Area, 8th NAP. BN. HQ. Naltoqa and adjoining Villages had detected damaged. This is the third time the same Transformer had damaged in the current year. It was first damaged in month of May.
After repairing it could hardly function for two days and damaged again. In the second week of September it was brought back from Dimapur and installed, but unfortunately the same Transformer could function for few weeks and damaged again. The concerned Department had checked and the consumers wherein. It was said that it was unrepeparrable. The long awaited power recovery becomes useless and once again remains in darkness.
Sir, it becomes necessary to have proper power supply at the. Present situation for following reasons. First; the final Examinations commencing shortly and due to the current the student community is greatly affected. Secondly, the CYF (SBAK) Annual Conference is scheduled to be held on 1st January at Suruhuto Town. Thirdly, the SRSU General Conference is going to be taken shortly, besides the Christmas season is approaching a head.
It is therefore, the undersigned on behalf of the entire public earnestly appeal to the higher authority of concerned Department to look into the grievances of me people of the Area seriously and take necessary measures to replace me ill feted Transformer and provide proper Power supply at the earliest.
