Nagas are one. Nagas are one by birth by Blood and one Nation which is created by Almighty God. The desire and aspiration of all Naga people is to develop and grow together as a free people and to live under one administrative roof. The struggle for oneness and the future of Nagaland emerged in a more organized manner with NNC and A.Z. Phizo. In the right time, the Naga leaders took the right decision, when other communities failed. In 1948, when the British transferred power to Burma (Myanmar) the Nagas in Burma were given a choice to enter into Penang agreement to form a part of Burma, but the Nagas refused to enter such agreement as they are sovereign by themselves.
Similarly the Nagas in India refused to accept the Indian Constitution and declared the non-acceptance of the Indian Constitution on January 24, 1950.
Naga Integration
The concept of Naga Integration is not a new thing but it is a historical process from time immemorial. Our forefathers submitted a memorandum to Simon Commission in 1929 urging the British government to leave the Nagas alone. The 16 poiknt Agreement of 1960 mentioned that all Naga inhabited areas to merge into a single unit which was endorsed by the Nagaland Legislative Assembly four (4) times. Naga Integration means removal of all arbitrary boundaries superimposed upon the Naga by the British and placing them under different administrative units within India and Myanmar without their knowledge and consent. Integration does not mean the Nagas from Manipur, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh states a nd Myanmar to leave their present pl ace and live in Nagaland states. They will live as it is as Nagas are living in their own land, the land belong to Nagas only. If the Naga integration is achieved then there will be more employment opportunities, more economic development and more political achievements for future Naga generations.
Schools Affiliation to NBSE
The movement for affiliation of schools in the four Hill Districts of Manipur with Nagaland Board pf School Education (NBSE) led by NSF and other Naga organizations is the right step at this movement. The time has come for the Naga people to take practical actions instead of paper resolutions. Affiliation of schools with NBSE wills no t affect any employment opportunities for the Nagas of Nagaland states. Affiliation of schools with NBSE does not mean that those Nagas students have right to claim employment rights or other a wards from the Nagaland state. And also any students from those areas may top the merit list of HSLC Examination conducted by NBSE in near future but it will not claim the award means for the Naga students from the Nagaland state. The present system shall be continued in days to come. Post Matric Scholarship to students and grant in aid to schools in any states of the country is funded by the centre. Instead of disturbing the present fund allotment for NBSE, the NBSE will get more fund from the centre and there will be more post creation for the Nagas of Nagaland state to run the NBSE to look after the 4 (Four) Hill District Schools.
I therefore to all the political parties, national leaders, National workers, NGOs and State Government of Nagaland to help the 4 (Four) Hill Districts affiliation to NBSE for the interest of Naga people.
