DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 15 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) continued its digital protest on October 15 demanding the set up of an enquiry commission to probe into fund utilization at the Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu.
A press release from the ANCSU informed that more than 2 lakh emails were sent to respective email accounts of top State Governments officials and bureaucrats. However, "with no sign of leanings to our genuine demand," the ANCSU said that it is compelled to intensify protests from October 16.
On Friday, along with emails, indefinite calls will be made to the concerned government functionaries.
The ANCSU stated that on the second day of protest, it was evident that the State Government tried to stop various e-mail accounts from sending messages. “But the union is overwhelmed to record the successful reach of more than two lakh e-mails as intended,” it stated.
The union meanwhile asked the 39 college union units to arrange at least 20 volunteers each to make calls to the soon to be circulated phone numbers. It cautioned the concerned authority to pay heed to the union’s demand at the earliest to avoid further intensification of the protest.
The union further appreciated the support and participation of the students, and acknowledged the incessant support of well wishers.
