Dimapur, August 12 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) on Thursday wrote to the State Chief Secretary drawing his attention to the lack of regulations on coaching institutes in the State and called for such institutes to be registered and monitored.
In a letter appended by its president and General Secretary, the ANCSU pointed out that establishment of coaching institutes is yet to come under any competent authority/ regulation/ educational department of the State.
It however acknowledged that the establishment of various coaching institutes in Nagaland has contributed to the academic growth of the state and also has helped many aspirants for competitive exams, technical exams and allied courses.
“These institutes are no less than any other educational institutes and their activities must be commended, at the same time these institutes must also come under certain educational regulation/authority of the state,” it opined.
In this regard, the ANCSU proposed the State government to ensure that the establishment of such institutes are registered and monitored.
