ANDMSA to go ahead with ‘pen down, computer shut down’ agitation

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 25 (MExN): The All Nagaland District Ministerial Service Association (ANDMSA) on Saturday said it will go ahead with the statewide first phase ‘pen down and computer shut down’ agitation from November 27-29, 2017.   A press release from the Association stated that the district ministerial employee being the back bone that looks into the affairs of government functioning at the grass roots level were denied of its due share of benefits in terms of promotional scope, pay and allowances, as compared to other employees.  

The agitation, the Association said, is called due to non fulfillment on the 3-oint charter demand which include- Amalgamation of Directorate and District Ministerial Cadre into Common Ministerial Cadre; Elevation of HA/Sr. HA to that of District Superintendent Class-I and SDHA/Accountant to that of Assistant District Superintend Class-II and Creation of District Superintendent Class-I and Assistant District Superintendent Class-II in all the independent DDOs of Districts and sub-divisions. In this connection, the Association has directed all the district units to adhere as resolved in the federal meeting on November 17, 2017. Further, it appealed the general public to bear with the inconvenience and at the same time requested the HODs/DDOs to respect the sentiment of the Association.  

Dimapur, Kiphire units to enforce parent body’s call

In separate press statements, the ANDMSA Dimapur and Kiphire unit has come out in support of its parent body’s call for a statewide ‘pen down and computer shut down’ agitation.  

ANDMSA-Dimapur unit said it will carry out surprise checking in all the departments in Dimapur and violating staff members & absentee employee would be imposed a fine of Rs 1000/-.  

It has also requested all department DDOs’ for cooperation and support and to refrain from assigning any kind of ministerial and clerical works to non- ministerial employee (s) during the period of agitation.  

It further informed all the department to send 2 representatives and submit the ministerial staff list of employees with contact numbers along with daily attendance list and absentee list countersigned by DDO’s with effect from November 27 at Tourist Lodge (control Room) near East Police Station.  

Similarly, ANDMSA- Kiphire unit also informed that during the agitation, all official works will be put on hold and any clerical work currently discharged by non-clerical staff will be disallowed. It has therefore requested all HoDs to cooperate with the Association and also requested public to bear with the inconveniences.
