ANDMSA Statewide agitation enters 2nd day

Dimapur, November 28 (MExN): The 3-day “Pen Down and Computer Shut Down” called by the All Nagaland District Ministerial Service Association (ANDMSA) entered the second day on Tuesday.  

The 3-day shutdown is part of the 1st phase of statewide agitation called by the ANDMSA demanding – i) Amalgamation of District and Directorate Ministerial Cadre into common ministerial Cadre OR Restoration of 60:40 en-cadre Policy from District to Directorate; ii) Re-Designation and Elevation of HA and Sr. HA to District Superintendent Class I and Asst. District Superintendent Class II; and iii) Creation of District Superintendent Class I (Sr.HA) and Asst. District Superintendent Class II (SDHA) in all the Independent DDOs of district and sub division.  

While no untoward incidents were reported from any of the districts, the Association reiterated that it would intensify its agitation in the event of non positive response from the State Government.  

The ANDMSA, in this regard, requested all the Units and Departments to be vigilant in their respective Units and further warned that employees/members found violating will be held responsible if any untoward incident arises.  

The association also appealed upon the general public to bear with the inconvenience as no response has been forthcoming till the filing of this report.  

Meanwhile, in Dimapur, officials and volunteers of ANDMSA Dimapur unit made surprise checking in various departments under Dimapur district.

  “All the ministerial related works were strictly monitored and pen down and computer shut down was strictly observed across all department except those departments which are not under the ANDMSA association thus bringing all ministerial related works into a standstill,” a press release from the ANDMSA Dimapur unit stated.  

The ANDMSA Dimapur unit has further requested all the departments who have not paid the membership and welfare fund for the year 2016 (Rs. 500 per member) to submit on November 29 at Control Room (Tourist Lodge).
