
Dimapur, June 21 (MExN): The All Nagaland Electrical Field Workers Association (ANEFWA), Dimapur Zone today issued a warning note that “if the public keep on harassing the staff without letting them to perform their duties normally, may resort to shut down and go for black day out in that particular area.” The ANEFWA has expressed concern over the physical assault of its staff and superior officer by some “uncivilized drunk youths” on June 14 at around 10:30 pm. According to a condemnation note issued by ANEFWA Dimapur Zone, the field staff and the officers were working tirelessly to restore the damaged wire at the SDO (E) No. 1 when some youths pelted stones at the staff and warned to kill who were working at the electrical post.
The Association also condemned stating that department in spite of working day and night in every possible way to restore the present situation of electricity problem, the public and especially youth without knowing the genuine cause of the failure of electricity, harass and manhandle its staff. Meanwhile, the ANEFWA Dimapur Zone added a note stating “water crises, don’t blame us you approach the concern department.”
