A four-day long Fathers' Brigade for Men's Department of the Angami Baptist Church Council (ABCC) got underway at Baptist College, Sechü Campus from September 15.

The opening ceremony took place this afternoon with a prayer by ABCC president Rev. Megovotuo Kuotsu and act of salute by Rev Mekhale Yhoshü, President, ABCCTK. Penalty shoot –out marked the opening ceremony.

Over 800 participants, including 600 campers, 130 officials and 70 catering volunteers from 110 churches under ABCC are attending the Fathers' Brigade under the theme, “Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.”

It will continue till September 18.

During the four-day brigade, the campers have been divided into four groups, and will compete in events like march past, Naga wrestling, tug of war, volleyball, shooting, penalty shoot-out, debate, extempore, singing competition and indigenous games.

The speakers for the brigade will include, Rev Dr V Atsi Dolie, Rev Dr Rachülie Vihienuo, Rev Vicavor Krose, Dr Kethoser Kevichüsa, Dr Hovithal Sothu and Lhouliehunuo Sale.
