Kohima, November 6 (MExN): The eight days refresher’s course for the Angami Youth Organization (AYO) first community responders (Khriekesa Pelikrou) concluded on November 5 at John Higher Secondary School Viswema.
The training program organized in collaboration with the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Guards and Civil Defence under the theme “Disaster Preparedness and Environment Protection” which started from October 29 to November 5, Camp Director Khisanol Viswentso stated in a press release.
Over hundred young Angami youths were trained in various areas with special focus on rescue and search operations for responding to natural calamities or accident.
The AYO is immensely indebted to all the trainers and everyone who have extended their invaluable support towards this initiative. We wish to particularly thank the Viswerna village council and Youth organization for their enduring support in effectively carrying out all responsibilities.
