Anghya brand – For Livelihood Solution

S Pangnyu Phom, Advisor DUDA & NEPED Nagaland inaugurated Anghya Retail and Marketing Outlet- a Livelihood Solution on November 29 at Mon Town.  

Pangnyu said that the department of DUDA had been endeavoured to develop Anghya Retail and Marketing outlet in the entire four districts HQ of Eastern Nagaland. He urged the public should not misuse whatever developmental activities are getting from the government, he added.  

This Anghya project will provide a common platform where rural population from different areas will come and sell or buy goods and services at the best price. All the products will be with a brand name of Anghya.  

Thongwang Konyak, MLA also said that the people of Mon district should make the maximum use of it and lead economic upliftment of the region. The department of DUDA had only constructed the building whereas the public has to utilize and get the benefit from the product sold by them.  

Senti Ao IAS Secretary, DUDA in his keynote address stated that Anghya Retail & Marketing Outlet-A livelihood Solution is created for common marked system which is an important factor for economic growth and overall development of a region. It will facilitate rural population to access ready marked, eliminate exploitation by middle man and ensure maximum price for their goods and services.  

Senti mentioned that, these business hubs is going to serve as a point of collection and business centre from where the products of eastern Nagaland will be supplied to other outlets in commercial towns & metro cities such as Dimapur, Guwahati and Delhi and thereby, the project will become self sustainable eventually. The department of DUDA has been approved as the Nodal department for marketing of minor forest products in Nagaland by the department of Forest, GON as well as TRIFED a GOI undertaking agency for Anghya project, he added.  

Thavaseelan K, IAS Deputy Commissioner Mon and Manlip Konyak President KU also spoke. The programme was chaired by K.S Anden Konyak, NCS Directors DUDA and Dr. Anungla Imdong Phom, Joint Director DUDA gave vote thanks.  

The Anghya retail outlet is a part of livelihood solution programme in collaboration with Zynorique Initiatives Society and is aimed at providing Marketing and Logistic solution for farmers and craftsman of the region. Anghya retail outlet will also function as a Coffee shop and food/craft products.
