A spinal surgery was successfully performed on a dog brought from Diphu on August 25 at Animal Concern clinic, Dimapur.
Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): Animal Concern, one of the oldest veterinary clinics in Dimapur successfully performed its second spinal surgery on a dog on August 25. The pet owner from Diphu brought the dog with spinal injury on the recommendation of a relative, a release here informed. The four hours long surgery was led by visiting specialist consultant, Dr Michael Imti Imchen.
The prognosis for complete recovery will be known only after a week or two and expected to undergo physiotherapy thereafter, the release also stated.
Earlier, in 2014, the clinic scripted history at a private clinic level in India by performing the first spinal surgery on a dog.
It may be noted that Animal Concern clinic is the only veterinary clinics in the state with modern equipments, state of the art lab for blood tests, skin disease lab for animals and dental scalling facilities.
