Tening, May 5 (MExN): Ankur Sangpang Rai from Kohima emerged as the champion of the 3rd Ningting Cham Open Badminton Tournament 2017 which was held at the Indoor Stadium, Tening Town from April 26 to 28. Ankur beat his brother Akshay in the final to emerge as champion in Men’s Singles. Ankur and Akshay also combined to win the Men’s doubles event beating Tali Yaden and Moamongba from Dimapur in the final. In Mixed Doubles, Tali Yaden and Aziliu emerged as the champions beating Lungliayicung and Kungni Newmai in the final. The winners and runners-up up were awarded with cash prize, medals and certificate sponsored by Ningting Cham, a Liangmai newsletter.
