Dimapur, November 21 (MExN): With another transformer breaking down, the load shedding in Dimapur will continue. A press release from Wabangmeren Jamir, Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Dimapur today informed that in addition to the 20 MVA transformer which was recently damaged by fire, another 66/33 kV, 20 MVA transformer has developed defects since 2:30 pm on November 20. “Testing of the transformer reveals a major fault and may take some time for restoration,” stated the release, adding a 10 MVA transformer is in the process of being put in circuit which will ease the power requirement to some extent. While appreciating all the consumers for cooperating with the department during the crises, the Department has requested all consumers to bear with the inconvenience of extended load shedding.
