
Dimapur, May 3 (MExN): The All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA), Dimapur Unit, organised the HSLC and HSSLC felicitation programme 2025 at Christian Higher Secondary School, Dimapur on May 3.
The event brought together students, teachers, and school leaders to honour the achievements of toppers from the recent NBSE board examinations for Classes 10 and 12, Ketoulhou Sekhose, General Secretary, ANPSA Dimapur Unit stated in a press release.
A total of 65 students from the HSSLC (Arts, Science & Commerce) and HSLC merit lists were felicitated. Additionally, 40 teachers who mentored students that secured state-level subject topper positions were honoured. The students received framed certificates and the teachers were felicitated with framed certificates and a cash award of Rs 2000 each.
The chief guest, Thejaselhou Yhome, IRS, Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, addressed the gathering with words of encouragement for the students. He urged them to be self-driven, to value personal integrity, and to view success not only in terms of academic results but also in terms of character and identity. He emphasized the importance of holding on to one’s family values, cultural roots, and Christian principles such as humility, discipline, and service. He also encouraged students to remain close to their families and to actively seek guidance from mentors as they move forward in life. His speech highlighted the need for youth to contribute meaningfully to India’s growth, especially as the country moves toward its national vision for 2027.
The programme featured musical performances by students of Holy Cross and Little Star Higher Secondary Schools. Speeches from rank-holding students expressed deep appreciation for their schools, families, and teachers. ANPSA Central President, Nini Sekhose, graced the event as the Guest of Honour.
Earlier, the programme began with a prayer led by Father Daniel, followed by a welcome address by ANPSA Dimapur President, Bithungo Kikon. It concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Sherrel Lewis, Proprietor, Lewis Academy and closing prayer by Kaini Kikon, Principal of Pilgrim Higher Secondary School.
