Ao Senden calls for 12-hour Mkg bandh

June 11 from 6am to 6pm

DIMAPUR, JUNE 8 (MExN): The Ao Senden has called a twelve hour bandh in Mokokchung district on June 11 from 6 am to 6 pm. A press note by the Ao Senden President, Dr Sangyu Yaden and its General Secretary, Tsupong Longchar said that the bandh has been called as there has been “no positive response” to the memorandum offered to the governments of Assam and Nagaland. It was further informed that medical emergencies, security forces, magistrates on duty and media personnel, college and school examinations would be exempted from the preview of the bandh. The Ao Senden cautioned that any person not adhering to its call would be dealt with “firmly” and added that if any untoward incident occurs, the Ao Senden would not be held responsible. It may be noted that the previously imposed bandh by the Ao Senden on the Mariani and Amguri road has entered its thirteenth day as of June 8.
