Winners of the Ao Temulung TT Championship 2019 along with the organizers and MDTTA officials.
MOKOKCHUNG, JANUARY 9 (MExN): The Ao Temulung Table Tennis Championship 2019 organized by Pongen Khel Sports Association (PKSA), Mopungchuket under the aegis of Mokokchung District Table Tennis Association (MDTTA) was held on January 7 & 8, 2019 at Mopungchuket village featuring some of Nagaland’s top TT players. The championship was held for five categories and all the matches were officiated by MDTTA officials.
In the Men’s Singles category, Meihomlung Rongmei from Dimapur and Ihubuing Haikube from Dimapur emerged as the champion and the runner up respectively. The duo from Dimapur also won the Men’s Doubles title while Nukshimaong Jamir and Kevirielie Dzüvichü from Kohima won the runners up title.
In the Youth Singles Under 21 category, Aochuba Jamir from Kohima won the winner’s title while Meyinukshi Longkumer, also from Kohima, won the runner up title. In the Youth Doubles Under 21 category, Aochuba Jamir and Meyinukshi Longkumer from Kohima emerged as winners while Limsor and Imkongtoshi from Mopungchuket had to settle with their runners up title.
In the Junior Under 15 Singles category, Lijempong and Mosemba from Mopungchuket emerged as the champion and the runner up respectively.
