As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Amway Opportunity Foundation (AOF) organized its pan India annual painting competition-Nanhe Chitrakaar in Kohima under the theme, ‘Wildlife and Environment’ on March 8 at the Amway Office, Kohima.
Around fifty children participated in the competition including children from the Kohima Destitute & Orphanage Home- an NGO working for the underprivileged children. Painter Shesalu Tenenu, was the judge for the competition. In the category of 8-12 years, Tsoniu Shiu (12) won the first followed by Imkonglemla (10) and Sarah (8). In the category of 7-5 years, Vimesano (7) secured the first position followed by Khetan (7) and Kevizeto (6).
The central idea of the competition was to instill a spirit of brotherhood and foster a bond of partnership among the children of the distributors and the children from the Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home.
