APO direct youths to call off quit notice

DIMAPUR, MAY 24 (MExN): The Angami Public Organisation (APO) while reiterating its earlier statement in condemnation and requesting the government to expedite necessary action against the erring persons involved in the 21st April incident at Wokha, has however directed the two Youth Organisations to “Call-Off” the “Quit Notice” with immediate effect for the larger interest of all concerned and also in the light of the government of Nagaland showing seriousness and initiating various action to the effect. This was stated in a press note issued by K. Neingunyu Sekhose and Vipopal Kintso President and General Secretary respectively of the APO.

The APO also stated that it fully stands for justice to be expedited and will stand by the organisations calling for the demands to be fulfilled in the interest of harmony and non-recurrence of any untoward incidents in our society and amongst our Naga brothers.  

In the backdrop of the 21st April incident at Wokha wherein the Office of the Deputy Commissioner was vandalized by an unruly mob from Longsa village, and where, the DC Rovilato Mor was also physically hurt and consequent to condemnation from various quarters and charters of demand from Kiruphema and Khonoma Youth Organisations for the Govt. to take necessary action, the two youth organization had subsequently issued “Quit Notice”.,
