Apropos Thepfulhouvi Solo’s write-up and MIP IM rejoinder

The People of Nagaland have always been saying the Indo-Naga Political Problem should be settled by the consent of all the Naga National Groups; the Government of India also has always said so.

Then suddenly, all the 60 Members of the Nagaland Assembly irrespective of Party affiliations came out loud and clear together in support of one of the Naga Groups only. They even resolved to resign en mass to pave the way for Isac and Muivah to come to Power for an Interim Government of Nagalim.

Mr. Thepfulhouvi Solo expressed in the local News Media on 13 Aug. 2012, his unbelievable surprise and disagreement with the wisdom of the 60 MLAs for taking such a partial one sided action. He also expressed his views on the democratic legality and non-legality of some of the Naga Groups.

The MIP, IM then, on 15 Aug. 2012 issued a 536 word Rejoinder with a last sentence veiled threat to the Writer: “The Naga Political case….. is a blood soaked case. So they must be very careful in their write ups”.
This is the whole trouble which has become of the Naga Political Case: The Naga Political Case has become a Naga Blood Soaked Case rather than a Political Case.

The conversion of ‘Naga Political Case’ into ‘Naga Blood Soaked Case’ is not by the Civilians but by the Armed Naga Groups like the dreadful NSCN (IM) for one.

The last sentence is a veiled threat to silence Opinions other than theirs and this undemocratic means is what the Writer does not accept.

And the Organization may not welcome Opinion from the Writer, so let me quote a verse from the Bible: Gen. 4: 9 – 10:

“And the LORD said unto Cain,
Where is Abel they brother?
I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?
And he said, What hast thou done?
The voice of thy brother’s blood cries out
to me from the ground”.
Everyone has to answer for the blood he
or she spilled of others.
