AR conduct medical camp, volleyball match

Dimapur, March 2 (MExN): 36 Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp at Razephema village on February 27 with an aim to provide basic medical treatment to the villagers residing in the interior areas of the region. A team of Assam Rifles’ medical staff consisting one doctor, three Nursing Assistants and two Female Assistants provided treatment and medicines to 268 villagers - 69 males, 85 females and 114 children - of Razephema and neighbouring villages. The villagers and local authorities of the village appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles for conducting the medical camp, stated a press release from Assam Rifles.   Meanwhile, in Chiephobozou Town, 9 Assam Rifles organised a friendly volleyball match with the youths of the town on March 1. The match was held to encourage youths for active participation in sports and also to provide insight into the life of Assam Rifles. The match was followed by an interaction and refreshments, wherein the youths were motivated to join the Armed Forces, an AR press note informed.
