AR Nodal School observes annual day

Dimapur, February 26 (MExN): Assam Rifles Nodal School (ARNS) located at ARTC&S at 3rd mile, Dimapur celebrated its annual day programme on February 25. Brigadier Vijay Singh, SM DIG ARTC&S, Chairman ARNS graced the occasion as the chief guest. A press release received here stated that the programme was attended by a large number of audiences including the parents of students and families of ARTC&S.
The programme started with cultural programme presented by the tiny tots of KG section. The students enthralled the audience by performing various cultural dances, songs and skit. Odila Jamir, Principal ARNS presented the annual report. Highlighting the School’s history and achievements in several academic and co-curricular activities, she announced the names of the students who excelled in various competitions and brought fame for the School.
Brigadier Vijay Singh, SM gave away prizes and trophies to the students who excelled in various School activities and won the competitions. In overall inter house competition; Mizoram House was given first prize, whereas Manipur and Nagaland House were placed second and third respectively.  Tabbasum Khatun of class VII and Shubham Joshi of class X were adjudged the Best Students amongst girls and boys respectively and were given trophies.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest congratulated and complimented the Principal and teachers of ARNS for their untiring efforts in taking the School to a higher level and wished them the very best for their future endeavours towards progress of the School. He also highlighted the bad habit of chewing tobacco among School children and advised the parents to control and save their wards from felling into such bad habits which lead to diseases like cancer.
