Dimapur, May 28 (MExN): Two persons were arrested with “illegal explosive, ammunition and contrabands” in general area Longsachung Wokha district May 25, an AR press released informed.
They were arrested when the Wokha Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted an operation along with a Police representative at the location, it said.
The individuals were identified as Nyanbemo, residence of Longsachung village and Hanjilo, from Nsunyu, Tseminyu.
The recoveries include four hand grenades, eight live cartridge of 12 Bore, 759 Samprax capsules, 150 Nytrosun Tablets, Indian Currency worth Rs fifty five thousand two hundred thirty five only, the release said.
It also included three Smartphone with battery, five mobile phone with battery with one spare battery, 15 can beers, 6 bottles of rum, 3 Pig Teeth, one pen drive and PRC, Bank Passbook and Wrist Watch, it added.
The individuals along with recovered items were handed over to Wokha Police Station and an FIR was also lodge against them, the release further informed.
