Those who said “NO” had this to say:
• Naga churches in spiritual field have excelled but when it comes to meeting the need of the society they have been a failure. The main issue today is to deal with problems of AIDS and corruption in the society and the churches have not done much on this issue. It is high time they come out and deal with this issue.
• Though they do the best for the needs of society, today the time has come on the part of our leaders to realize the need to maintain the work ethic as assigned to him or her for the purpose of creating better society without discriminating the race/s because we are not the followers of the leader/s but of God. It is high time for the leaders to realise the past of his and her mistakes so that the youngsters may have a better guideline and better place.
• Instead there are more politics within the church itself which makes them more selfish, then how can they meet the needs of the society?
• The Naga churches are not meeting the need of the people. It has become more or less like political obligation rather than spiritually guiding people.
• They should save souls instead of interfering in the government affair by putting churches resolutions and theocratic views against individual’s freedom.
Those who said “MAYBE” had this to say:
• I should put the Question in another way, as Are Naga Church Ministers providing the needs of the Society? The church is the believer’s community and the people none other than a community or a society.
• Maybe!!!!...the real thing lies with the officials. It’s in their hands...”mahatma gandhi debi” jobs will automatically appear.
