Imphal, September 5 (PTI): A huge cache of arms and ammunition have been seized in Manipur's Noney district, a Defence release said on Sunday.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of Assam Rifles and Manipur Police recently raided a forested area in Longphailum and seized the arms and ammunition belonging to a militant outfit, it said.
Two .22mm pistols, one 9mm pistol, a hand grenade and 36 cartridges of various calibres were seized, the release said.
The cache has been handed over to Nungba police station for further investigation, it added.
