Students and cadets of the 1st Battalion NCC attend the Indian Army Recruitment Outreach Programme held at Don Bosco College, Kohima on April 26.

KOHIMA, APRIL 28 (MExN): The Army Recruitment Office (ARO), Rangapahar, conducted an extensive outreach programme at Don Bosco College in Kohima on April 26 to encourage youth participation in various categories of Army recruitment, including Officers and Agniveers.
Organized in coordination with the Employment and Labour Department of the Government of Nagaland as part of a Job Fair and Career Expo, the event drew more than 270 young aspirants, including cadets from the 1st Battalion of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).
During the session, officials provided detailed briefings on the Agnipath Scheme, including recruitment procedures, login and registration processes, notifications for the 2025-26 cycle, and career opportunities post the four-year tenure. Participants' queries were addressed, and information about pathways for officer entry through the National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), Officers Training Academy (OTA), Military Nursing Services (MNS), and the Territorial Army (TA) was shared. The modalities for Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews were also explained.
In addition to eligibility criteria, application steps, and selection processes, the aspirants were introduced to the organizational structure of the Indian Army and the different types of Arms and Services. Handouts, posters, pamphlets, and other publicity materials were distributed during the programme to assist the students.
The event is part of ongoing efforts by the Indian Army to boost awareness and streamline recruitment processes among the youth of the northeastern region.
