The Artang ward emerged as champions of the 2nd inter-ward football tournament organized by the Marepkong Youth Association by beating Penli ward 3-1 at Imkongmeren Sports complex Mokokchung.
Temshi Imchen scored the first goal for Artang Ward and Ampangchuba’s brace contributed to the team’s tally of 3 goals. The lone goal for Penli ward came from the boots of Imlitanget.
The closing programme of the tournament was graced by Dr Sashiyangba, District Project Officer, Department of Land Resources, Mokokchung as the guest of honor.
Individual prizes were also given away at prize distribution ceremony.
