Arunachal inks MoU with NEIFT

Itanagar, April 10 (MExN): The Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of Arunachal Pradesh today inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the North East Institute of Fashion Technology (NEIFT), Guwahati for giving airhostess/ cabin crew training to 30 candidates.   As per the MoU, the Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship will sponsor candidates to pursue one-year residential diploma training and around 70% percent of the trainees will be provided placements after the training.   The MoU was signed by Madhu K Garg, IAS, Secretary Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Vikram Rai Medhi, CEO, NEIFT, Guwahati in presence of Director of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Subu Tabin, and Assistant Director J Riba. The session of the course will start from the first week of July 2018.   The State Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu has accorded priority to the skill development sector in a bit to generate employment and the state government has recently announced a new scheme, Chief Minister Yuva Kaushal Yojna, to provide high-end training in various sectors to students.
