Mon, August 2 (MExN): Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet Minister Gabriel Denwang Wangsu on Sunday visited the Konyak Union Office in Mon to express solidarity with families affected by the recent natural disaster in the district and extend relief assistance.
Welcoming the minister, Konyak Union President K Yamao Konyak said the visit reflected the strong bond of brotherhood among the Konyak people across state boundaries and demonstrated compassion and unity during a difficult time.
Wangsu conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and assured the people of Mon of the support and solidarity of the Konyak community in Arunachal Pradesh. He also extended humanitarian relief assistance for the disaster-affected families.

Deputy Commissioner of Mon Wennyei Konyak thanked the minister for his generosity, saying the gesture reflected the enduring relationship between the Konyak people of Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.
The Konyak Union also expressed appreciation to the All Assam Naga Welfare Society for extending relief assistance and solidarity to affected families.
The union further welcomed former Guwahati Central Assembly election candidate and Shrimanta Shanker Society member Kunki Chowdhury, who visited the union office to convey her condolences and provide relief assistance.
Meanwhile, a Konyak Union delegation visited Charaideo district in Assam, where it distributed relief assistance to flood-affected families and held a meeting with the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Mon and Charaideo.
During the meeting, the union clarified that reports circulating on social media and certain news platforms regarding an alleged "Dikhu Dam" were incorrect, stating that no such dam exists.
The Konyak Union thanked all individuals and organisations that had extended support and solidarity to the people of Mon during the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
