ASA 50th Meet: WAYO lifts football championship

Western Angami Youth Organization (WAYO) today lifted the champion title of Football (Men) at the ongoing 50th Meet of Angami Sports Association (ASA) here.

Northern Angami Sports Association (NASA) stood runner-up. Southern Angami Sports Association (SASA) emerged the champion titles in both men and women category of volleyball. NASA bagged second position in both men and women category of volleyball.

 Naga wrestling 
The much awaited Naga wrestling (Senior) will take place on February 18 at Khuochiezie (Kohima Local Ground). Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will grace the event at 9: 00 AM.

ASA Wrestling Secretary Visakrol Vitsu will administer oath to 60 wrestlers.

Angami Public Organization (APO) president Razouvotuo Chatsu will share greetings while ASA president Lhoubeizo Kesiyie will deliver presidential address.

Folk tune will be presented by Chakhroma Youth Organization (CYO) and Southern Angami Sports Association (SASA).
The event will also witness a demonstration of Phouse Kene. ASA auditor general Neisiesa Chiisi will chair the function.
Meanwhile, ASA extended invitation to all sports association/council of 17 Nagaland tribes as special invitees.
Meanwhile, Ground management ABCC Thepfuko Krotho informed that it is mandatory for all the spectators to wear mask inside the ground.
