ASHA induction training held in Zunheboto

Zunheboto, February 25 (MExN): The District Health Society, Zunheboto organised ASHA induction training for newly inducted ASHAs from February 18 to 22.


During the training the ASHAs were trained on various skills Classifying and Management of fever and diarhhoea (HBNC), Roles during VHND, Intervene in case of violence against women-case study, HIV/AIDS, Malaria, MCTS, Malnutrition.


During the induction training short documentary on Child Health and ‘A Step at a Time’ Maternal Health was also shown. Various IEC materials were also distributed during the training.


Evaluation of ASHA's was done at the end of the training.


Dr. K. Akaho Sema, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Zunheboto encouraged the ASHAs and said that they act as a bridge between the ANM and the community. He also encouraged the ASHA's to be sincere and dedicated. He motivated and briefed about the various incentives which can be avail by them by their service to the community.


The resources persons for the training were Kashili, ANM and Tozheli, ANM, DCM & ASHA Co-ordinator.


All together 21 ASHAs were inducted during the training. This was stated in a press release issued by Shekho Sophie, District Media Officer, CMO Office, Zunheboto.
