Dimapur, April 17 (MExN): The All Adivasi Students’ Association of Assam (AASAA) has called for a 12-hour bandh starting from 6 am on April 18. The bandh called in protest against the killing of 11 persons at Pengeri in Tinsukia is expected to be observed intensely in upper Assam districts of Golaghat, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Dibrugarh Dhemaji, Lakhimpur and Tinsukia. In this connection, the Mangkolemba Sub-Divisional Administration has issued travel advisory to commuters travelling to and from Mon, Longleng, Tuensang Mokokchung and Dimapur districts to avoid using these routes during the bandh period.
