Dimapur, July 22 (MExN): The Assam Rifles have claimed the arrest of an arms dealer from Burma Camp. Based on specific information regarding presence of an arms dealer, troops of 32 Assam Rifles along with police representative launched an operation in Burma Camp, Dimapur on July 18 and apprehended an individual from a Maruti Alto Car, bearing Regd No NL 05C 3121 along with three .22mm Pistols with magazine and 18 live rounds, a press release from Lt Col Amitabh Sharma, PRO HQ IGAR (North), stated. The individual was identified as T. Jacob, 30 years, a resident of Virazouma village, Dimapur. The accused along with the recovered arms and ammunition was later handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation.
