Dimapur, February 24 (MExN): Different Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted civic action programme across the district during the past week.

Zunheboto Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) conducted a veterinary camp at Old Natha village, Zunheboto on February 24. The Veterinary camp was executed by a team from 14 Mobile Veterinary Field Hospital. A total of 78 livestock to include 11 cows, 60 dogs and 7 fowl were examined and free medicines distributed to owners.
Tizit Battalion and Jalukie Battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) conducted a medical camp for the residents of New Jaboka and NTU at New Jaboka and NTU on February 20 and 24 respectively. Free medical checkup and medicines were provided. Lecture and guidance on personal hygiene was also delivered. 32 males, 53 females and 17 children availed the facility at New Jaboka while at NTU, 70 females, 64 male and 66 children turned up for the medical camp.

Shamatore Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organized a free medical camp under the theme ‘Honouring Senior Citizens and Differently Abled Persons’ at Shamatore Village on February 23. The events were organized in collaboration with Shekinah Christian Foundation. 158 patients to include 67males, 86 females and five children availed the medical facility. 36 solar lamps were also distributed to the elderly.
