ASUD laughter treat with ‘Comedy Night’

‘Dreamz Unlimited’ to perform live at DDSC Stadium on October 1
Come October 1 and citizens of Dimapur are in for a real ‘laughter’ treat as ‘Dreamz Unlimited’, the popular Naga comedy group, will perform live in the open air for the first time at DDSC Stadium.
Dreamz Unlimited will be performing two new and original plays at the “Comedy Night” organized by the Ao Students’ Union Dimapur (ASUD) on October 1 starting 6.00pm. Guest musicians and artistes will entertain the audience in between the acting of the two plays, each expected to run to 30 minutes.
This was announced at a press conference jointly addressed by ASUD president, Moayanger Jamir, Dreamz Unlimited director Tiakumzuk and members of the Comedy Night organizing committee including Akummeren Pongen (convenor), Sakulemba Jamir, O. Ajungla Jamir, Sungkum Aier and Mongden Jamir, at Tourist Lodge Monday evening.
The organizers informed the objective of the Comedy Night is to showcase local talents and provide an evening of laughter and entertainment through the signature “humour with social message” plays of Dreamz Unlimited. The organizers assured an evening of fun, laughter and cordial atmosphere for every section of society including family.
Dreamz Unlimited director, Tiakumzuk, said preparing for the coming event is a challenge for the group as for the first time, the actors would be performing live in front of an expected capacity crowd and trying to keep the audience engrossed for an hour with doses of humour and laughter.
Ahead of the October 1 date, the organizers will be staging road shows featuring Dreamz Unlimited from September 27-29.
Tickets for the show are priced at Rs. 2,000 (donors, entry for two persons) and Rs. 300 (general, single entry). Tickets are available at Aier Bakery, Midlane; Computer Vault, Super Market, Lunchroom, PWD colony opposite West PS, Flavouroso, Firing Range; Mobile Repairing Unit, Indisen Village and Revelin Bakery & Confectionary, near Diphupa Gate.
