Dimapur, February 6 (MExN): Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL), fully sponsored by Atal Innovation Mission under NITI Ayog was established in SD Jain Higher Secondary School (SDJHSS).
ATL provides an enabling environment for students to innovate through a do-it-yourself approach. The Lab is equipped with sophisticated machines and instruments such as 3D Printers and Microcontrollers for honing the technical and innovation related skills of students.
The lab was inaugurated by Om Prakash Sethi, President, SD Jain Samaj. In his speech, Sethi congratulated the school management and administration for taking up the initiative to establish such useful schemes in the school for the benefits of the students.
Principal Reji Abraham highlighted the advantages of ATL in the school. He urged the students to make full use of the facilities to become future innovators. He said that ATL envisages creating a platform for every child who has ability to think and convert ideas to a physical shape. It is a playground to play and learn science beyond school text books, through application based self learning to foster solutions to certain problems, Abraham noted.
The inauguration was followed by a demonstration of the ATL for the special invitees, community leaders, and Samaj Executives. Ajay Sethi, Secretary, School Managing Committee and Ashish Bakliwal, ATL Vendor, and Operational Head for Knowhow3D spoke on the occasion.
