
Dimapur, August 9 (MExN): ATMA Governing Board, Dimapur conducted the quarterly meeting at the Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall on August 8. The meeting was chaired by Kevekha Kevin Zehol, Deputy Commissioner Dimapur and Chairman, ATMA Governing Board.
During the meeting, a DIPR report stated that powerpoint presentation on ATMA Dimapur activities from February to July 2019 was presented by Dr. Ithika C. Swu, Deputy Project Director, ATMA Dimapur. Tokugha Zhimo, State level Farmer Awardee gave a presentation on integrated farming and acknowledged ATMA Dimapur and agri and allied departments for their assistance and guidance. The board deliberated on funding and reaffirms to strictly follow the guidelines as well as practice Direct Benefit transfer as mandated. It was also decided that for convergence of activities like RKVY, saturated areas or villages will not be taken up.
Meanwhile, ATMA Management Committee (AMC) meeting was held on August 8 at DC Conference Hall, Dimapur to deliberate on the various activities that needs to be taken up for taking the farming community forward as well for the preparation of exhibition during Independence Day Celebration.
The meeting chaired by Atoi Sema, Project Director, ATMA Dimapur and Chairman, AMC ATMA Dimapur was attended by District heads of various Agri and Allied Department. The chairman informed about the various fund allocation that has been released to the district and asked for their cooperation and assistance in implementing the same. It was agreed upon by all the agri and allied departments for setting up their respective stall during the Independence Day celebration, the fund for which will be mobilized from the Exhibition head of expenditure from ATMA fund.
The Chairman also asked the departments to nominate deserving farmers from their area for scrutiny and selection for district level Farmers Award to be given out during Independence Day Celebration.
