Dimapur, April 28 (MExN): Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Phek organised and sponsored a state level training on April 23 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Yisemyong under Mokokchung district. The program was chaired by Dr. Moa Walling, DHO&PDATMA-Phek, while the KVK program co-ordinator gave a short welcome address.
The technical session of the training covered topics on SRI (System of Rice Intensification), QPM (Quality Protein Maize), cultivation practices of garden and field pea, High Density Planting in banana, cultivation practices of tomato, production of True Potato Seeds and Bio-control of agronomical and horticultural crops. After interaction, the team visited the KVK farm assisted by a KVK official. The resource persons for the program were Samuel, SMS-KVK and Moaienla, SMS-KVK, Mokokchung.
