ATMA Tuensang inaugurates fishery farm school

Tuensang, January 30 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Tsaru Block, Tuensang inaugurated a Fishery Farm School at Old Tsadang village on January 28 by BTM, Dr T Arenmongla.


During the inaugural programme, Dr Arenmongla highlighted the concept of Farm school and gave a brief managemental technique on fishery where Kyuchose was appointed as the farm teacher.


A press release from Tsaru Block, ATMA Tuensang stated that during the programme, trainings and demonstrations on various topics were also conducted. Resource person Khatemenla, ATM trained the farmers on bunch management of banana and importance and use of bio control agents. She also trained the farmers on mushroom cultivation where she performed step by step procedures and enlightened the farmers on how mushroom cultivation could elevate their economic status. Resource person Tiyongnaro, ATM explained on primary nursery and sucker nursery multiplication of cardamom and pond management, fish nutrition and feeding.


Inputs for farm school, Trico cards and tricoderma were distributed to all the farmers. Meanwhile, five groups of FIG/FSG/SHG were mobilized from Old Tsadang and New Tsadang villages. Altogether 18 farmers attended the inaugural cum training/demonstration programme.
