Officials and participants of Awareness Programme on Handloom & Handicraft Schemes and PMEGP Scheme
Kohima, May 29 (MExN): An awareness programme on Handloom & Handicraft Schemes and PMEGP Scheme was organised by the Nagaland Department of Industries & Commerce and the District Administration, Phek on May 27 at Wazeho under Meluri Sub division of Phek district.
With Wazeho block being identified as the Aspirational Block for Phek District, the programme was organised with the objective of providing a platform on the uncovered and talented artisans of the Block to avail the benefits of the various schemes being implemented by the Department.
The programme was chaired by Chikuotho Nyusou, FM, Sub DIC Meluri, welcome address by Kezhaletuo Khruomo, inspector, DIC- Chozuba, and highlight of Aspirational Block was by Yithachu, EAC, Phor.
Resource persons included Cholzo Sophie, General Manager, DIC- Chozuba, T Rollee Vareishim, Sr Assistant Director, HSC, Kohima, Ministry of Textiles, GoI, and HK Baro, Deputy Director, WSC, Dimapur, Ministry of Textiles, GoI.
The programme witnessed distribution of Weaver’s Pehchan Card and Spot Registration for Handicraft Artisans ID card. Closing remarks was given by Veswuvo Phesao, Inspector of Industries, Sub DIC- Meluri.
