Kohima, July 29 (MExN): The Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) today lauded the Nagaland law enforcing agencies in general and Kohima Police in particular for their prompt actions in various recent cases, thwarting detrimental cases against the criminal actions of compulsive and habitual offenders in many guise.
In a press release issued by its President, Kekhrie Pfukha, the AYO further encouraged the enforcement agencies to strictly enforce more stringent actions without any fear or favour with assurance that “we will stand strongly behind them in the fight against what is wrong.”
It also noted that while the spread of COVID-19 is “alarmingly rising” in Kohima town, the rate of extortion, thefts and many abhorring acts are being “rampantly committed by certain anti social elements in Kohima.”
“In a period when compassion and love should triumph, a seemingly devious moral degradation of hate is pervading us,” it said.
“Naga societal strata are built on the foundation of the two principles of owning and disowning when it comes to crimes and criminal actions. Our young people especially on social media are sincerely appealed to revisit our Naga cultural values and ethos because upon those shadows, our beautiful societal republics were formed,” it added
Meanwhile, the AYO also conveyed that it is indebted to the massive support extended to Kohima town by many people by contributing in the form of gifting their invaluable flowers to beautify the town.
“We sincerely appeal our denizens to kindly take care of these flowers placed along the town with love and care,” it added.
