Dimapur, Dec 30 (MExN): NSCN-K Kilonser AZ Jami is convinced that one day or the other, unjust rulers shall face the vengeance of God Almighty. The Kilonser, in a note, was expressing his displeasure over the conviction of Iraq’s former dictator Saddam Hussein for war crimes. The kilonser termed the development “unjust and illegal act” similar to Pakistan dictator Zia Ul-Haq convicting Prime Minister ZA Bhutto in 1979.
“The USA under the leadership of George W Bush and her allies attacked Iran in 2003, under an unfounded pretext. This was unjust and illegal act. The conviction of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein by Iraq’s crime tribunal is a repetition of Zia-ul-Haq’s conviction of ZA Bhutto of Pakistan in 1979” Jami asserted. Likewise, Saddam Hussein who could not be ‘cowed down by USA’s threats’ happened to meet the same fate and so did the head of a sovereign state and government of Iran and also the head of the Iraqi Army, Jami noted further.
“Hence, whatever he is, whether good or bad, he did in the color of his office, I think in good faith to preserve the integrity and sovereignty of Iran. To me convicting once head of state to such humiliated death is an unjustified act. When a beggar dies no comet is seen but heaven portends and mourns the death of a prince. As a believer, in a Supreme Being the Almighty God who give the rain to the bad and good, it is my firm conviction that one day or the other the unjust ruler or nation will be beseechingly avenged by God” the kilonser stated.
